Destination Specialist

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a dedicated Destination Specialist to join our team at Alpenwild, a leading tour operator specializing in active travel experiences.

As a Destination Specialist, you will play a crucial role in designing and booking unforgettable active travel itineraries for our guests. Your expertise in various destinations and activities will be key in creating immersive and thrilling experiences that cater to our guests' interests and preferences.

 

Responsibilities:

Itinerary Design: Design customized itineraries that align with the preferences, interests, and activity levels of our guests.

Research: Stay updated on the latest travel trends, emerging destinations, and activities to continuously enhance our offerings.

Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, including hotels, transportation providers, and activity operators, to ensure seamless logistics and excellent service.

Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their travel preferences, activity levels, and desired experiences, and provide expert advice and recommendations.

Trip Documentation: Prepare detailed trip notes, including activity descriptions, maps, and relevant information for guests and internal use.

Quality Assurance: Conduct regular destination inspections to ensure the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Collaborative Approach: Work closely with our marketing teams to ensure seamless trip execution and optimize customer satisfaction.

Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer service and support before, during, and after the trip to address any queries or concerns.

 

Qualifications:

Passion for active travel and deep knowledge of adventure-based activities, such as hiking, biking, kayaking, etc.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Demonstrated experience in designing and organizing travel itineraries.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects while also being a team player.

Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional quality and exceeding customer expectations.

Proficiency in using travel industry software and tools to research, plan, and document travel itineraries.
