“The lodgings, the views, the food, the people on our tour and our wonderful trip leaders were our favorite parts of this tour.” - England Coast to Coast guest
Starting January 8, 2025, travelers from select countries, including the U.S. and Canada, will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter the UK. Apply via the official UK ETA app or website (£10 fee), with approval typically taking up to 3 working days—learn more and apply here: UK ETA Official Website.
Be sure to secure your ETA prior to leaving your home country to travel to the UK.
Plan your inbound flights to arrive in Manchester prior to the start at 8:00 am on Day 1. We’re happy to assist with your arrival plans, pre-tour travel, and hotel arrangements in Manchester prior to the start of the tour.
The tour concludes as we return to Manchester Airport on the evening of Day 10. We included accommodations for this evening at the Radisson Blu near Manchester Airport. You can book your departing flights anytime on Day 11.
Our European Travel Specialists can assist with recommendations for your pre- and post-tour travel arrangements. Simply call or email us your plans and we are happy to help make the best of your vacation experience.
You will stay in carefully chosen inns and small hotels that capture the authentic charm and rich tradition of the national parks and English countryside.
The hallmark of an Alpenwild trip is our exceptional dining, including a full English breakfast, picnic lunches, and many dinner options. All meals starting with dinner on the day of arrival, lunches, snacks, refreshments, receptions, and ending with breakfast on the day of departure are included. Alcoholic beverages, specialty drinks, and related gratuities are not included.
We can accommodate a vegetarian diet, but since English cuisine is centered around dairy products, accommodating a vegan diet is difficult. You’ll have plenty of whole grain and fresh fruit options at breakfast. For lunch, we will purchase items for the day and you’re welcome to come with us or give us specific requests. You’ll find the larger grocery stores have good vegetarian selections. For dinner our hotels will have vegetarian options, but not necessarily vegan. Other dietary restrictions like gluten-free may not be accommodated in remote mountain towns.
